Some of our work groups returned to the schools they were in yesterday. Visiting a nearby retirement home was on the agenda for some and the prayer walking group resumed praying over various areas of the city. Still another team went to minister to what the locals call "the undesirables" or what we would call the homeless.
Tonight we had a final meal with Elim Church members. We will also hear about Josiah Venture, a mission to reach young people of Eastern Europe. It has been a very productive and impactful time in the few days we've been here. For some it is very difficult to leave and move on. For now we say goodbye to our new friends and ministry partners in Pisek.
We leave for Prague in the morning. We'll spend the day touring the city and moving into our rooms. We will prepare for the recording scheduled in Dvorak Hall with an orchestra from Prague. Check back tomorrow for more details.

ReplyDeleteWow! Ya'll are getting so much accomplished! It's amazing! Please tell my mom (Laura Hamilton) that we all are missing and thinking of her! Suzy got your photo mom! She liked it. The weather in Chicago is rainy! Go figure... if it's not snowing, it's raining! Talk to you later. Keep up the great work everyone!

What a wonderful gift music is - to be able to praise God with people throughout the world. Hi to the Franklins from home, miss you tons and can't wait to see you. Lucy's not a big fan of the thunderstormy weather here, but I'm sure enjoying it! Praying for you all, lots of love

Guys, you say you sing Gospel music, but you ROCKED here in Pisek and Strakonice! I am thankful to God for your service and for my time spent with you!
ReplyDeleteI am sure I am not alone in this prayer that arose from devotions this morning:
ReplyDelete"I have no silver and gold, but I give You what I have (Acts 3:6).
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight oh Lord my Rock and my Redeemer (Psalms 19:14).
May I put to death today that which is earthly in me: fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. And may I put on the new nature which is being renewed in knowledge after the Image of my Creator: compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, and patience. May I forgive my fellowman today, Heavenly Father, as You have forgiven me. Above all these things, may I put on Love which binds everything together in perfect harmony. May the peace of Christ rule in my heart. May the Word of Christ dwell in me richly that I am teach and admonish in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in my heart to You, my God. Lord, in all I do, may it be in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to You, God my Father through Him. (Colossians 3:5-17)
We miss you all but are excited about what God is doing through you and in you during this trip. We pray for you all daily. We've had a ton of rain here. Everything's green and soggy. We have no grandbaby yet-- they are still sticking with the June 10 date. We love you and wish we were with you. Blessings... Dick & Marcia
